Ok Lucy, todays KURGAN is a keema style mince curry with peas, potatoes, lots of exotic spices and fresh coriander. It is very very nice.

Kurgan time is here again and it is chilli…steak chilli with beans…steak with chilli and beans and garlic and pitta…steak with beans, chilli, chocolate, onions, soured cream…steak with soured cream, onions, chilli, chocolate, garlic, coriander, grated mature cheddar…excellent!

The Kurgan is an ever evolving beast…evolution has taken us into the realms of leather and velvet and port and cigars and dark mahogany…rich, expensive, luxurious…steak, chicken liver pate (made with brandy and double cream), rocket and our very own creation…chilli, apple and strawberry jam…delicious…

Aha! The Kurgan today, ladies and gentlemen, is a curry…a lamb curry with baby potatoes and spinach, gently cooked with a myriad of spices and herbs…garam masala, ginger, cumin, ground coriander and coriander leaf, chilli, garlic, onion, turmeric, lemon and some other things I can`t remember…anyway, it`s damn good…so treat yourself…move over Mr Marco Polo!

Sometimes religion takes control…today, for example…it`s a Friday and therefore we Must eat Fish! Here is a little list of our scaly treats…firstly, our Kurgan…Bird`s Eye fish fingers, our own tartare sauce, our own pee puree (whoops..pea…sorry!) and some Spaniard`s chorizo…secondly, a smoked sausage, prawn and chicken gumbo…thirdly, a Trinity-making Special consisting of crayfish tails, lime mayo, rocket and crispy bacon, finished with a roast red pepper vinaigrette…The Pigdog today has run out of inspiration and steam and has not created a crostini of the day…I think his mind is having a dress down Friday…
